About

I am a systemic therapist with a focus on how our relational patterns impact how we experience expansion or contraction. My approach is rooted in authenticity, presence and humility. My main areas of focus include: parenting/postpartum, spiritual/religious trauma, and relational stress. I provide a free consultation and would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you have about my approach and modalities to see if we might be a good fit.

Understanding and dismantling structures of power and oppression and bringing deep listening to context is a commitment that I bring with me into my therapy practice. You deserve a therapeutic space where you feel seen and safe to bring the full spectrum of your identity.

When I’m not doing this work, I love to sing and play music, dig in the dirt, whoop while I slide down snow, pedal my legs on my bike while sunshine hits my cheeks, and dance with my toddler. Before becoming a therapist, I spent seven years working to support communities to co-create collective gardening spaces in their neighborhoods. Family Therapy has been a continuation and deepening of this work, supporting individuals and family systems to see their interconnectedness and support the unfolding of our collective stories.

Individual Therapy

Areas of Focus:

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • My robust definition of perinatal includes anyone navigating fertility, loss, pregnancy, postpartum, & the various stages of parenthood. This is an incredibly rich and complex time physiologically and emotionally. It asks so much of us, but so much can be gained. I have ample training along with my own lived experience to support clients during this phase.

What to Expect

As an attachment based therapist, our relationship becomes the landscape for healing. I bring a deep awareness to structure of power and privilege that impact both your life and our therapeutic relationship. I take extra measures to ensure the relationship we develop feel safe, empowering, and boundaried. I do this by asking for ample feedback, encouraging push pack and autonomy, and identifying the ways you are the expert of your life and healing. I am also a wholistic therapist and bring as much attention to your organism (nervous system and body) as to your personality and meaning making. Our bodies have a tremendous capacity to support our healing and I find bringing it into the mix helps clients move more quickly out of toxic patterns.

I offer both in person and virtual sessions. My office is located in Tacoma on 3402 6th Ave. My office is not ADA accessible. I am only licensed in Washington State and can therefore only see clients in Washington (including Washington residents visiting other states).

Pricing, Costs & Insurance

Initial assessment session is 80 minutes long and costs $200. Following sessions are 50 minutes long costing $175. I am in network with Regence, Premera & Lifewise. If you have other insurance, I am happy to send you a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments on a limited time basis. Let me know if you are interested in sliding scale and I will be happy to discuss further.

Relational Therapy

Areas of Focus:

  • The heightened emotions in relational conflict can often feel so overwhelming, so much of my work brings awareness to the physiology and nervous system. As we better understand both your own and the other’s nervous system, de-escalation, attunement, and resolution become so much more accessible.

What to expect:

Relational therapy includes couples, families, friends or any other relational structure. I offer short term relational therapy consisting of 90 minute sessions once a week for about 6-10 weeks. Prior to starting relational therapy, I do a 30 minute virtual consultation with each member of the relationship to mutually assess fit. Please note that if I find that I am not a good fit, I always offer referrals for other clinicians.

I have a more experiential approach leaning on my attachment based, somatic and psychobiological training. After we have identified the main goal and feel that each of you understand where the other is coming from, you will be working through your issues together in session with me there to support attunement and regulation.

I offer both in person and virtual sessions. My office is located in Tacoma on 3402 6th Ave. My office is not ADA accessible. Please note that for virtual sessions, I ask couples and members of the relationship be in the same room. I am only licensed in Washington State and can therefore only see clients in Washington (including Washington residents visiting other states).

Contact

If you are interested in working together or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I require a 30 minute consultation done over Zoom prior to starting therapy. This consultation is free and is a time for each of us to assess fit. If you are curious if our work would be covered by your insurance, send along a photo of your insurance front and back as well as your date of birth and I am happy to verify your benefits. Please note that I only bill insurance for individual clients, not for my work with couples.
